A few things I'm sick of, or "STOP calling me a Republican!"

Digg this!
There are several ongoing themes that have come up during this election year that have really gotten on my nerves, so I thought I'd address a few now just to vent!
Shop our anti-Obama, pro-Hillary, PUMA, McCainocrat gear here

For one thing, when Barry Soetoro's (you may know him by the alias he's currently using, Barack Hussein Obama) followers find out that I'm not supporting their messiah, their reactions consistently include a couple of points:

1) "You're really a Republican! There's NO WAY you could be a lifelong Democrat like you claim!"

2) "You're racist!"

(Can't they come up with anything else? I guess that Kool-Aid they drank brainwashed them in more ways than one.)

So let's take those two points and attempt to get through the Obamabots' thick, yet empty, heads.

Re: #1) No, am I not a Republican. I have never been a Republican. I will [likely] never be a Republican. I have been a registered Democrat since I was 18 years old and that was...*cough*...well, more than a couple decades ago.

My first brush with political activism was in 1972, before I was old enough to vote, when I volunteered for the McGovern campaign. At that young age I was able to see what a crooked piece of shit Richard Nixon was, and I tried in earnest to convince people to vote for McGovern. Well, we all know how THAT went. After Nixon's overwhelming landslide victory I felt such disbelief, like HOW could so many people be so stupid?! I thought...or at least hoped...that I would never see such mass stupidity again. I was wrong!

If you're unconvinced that I am not a Republican, my first instinct is to tell you to go fuck yourself. But, on second thought, let me just direct you to the political merchandise page on our web site. Be sure you scroll down past the recent stuff--the pro-Hillary/anti-Obama stuff--so you can see the older merchandise.

When we started the site, nearly its entire focus was anti-Bush, anti-Republican, anti-conservative. We've already retired a lot of our older anti-Bush stuff that just wasn't relevant any more, and will be retiring the rest at some point. But there are archives on the Internet! Even when we remove all of our anti-Bush gear, you can easily find archives of our site dating back to 2004, so you can see for yourselves that we REALLY are Democrats who were as anti-Bush/anti-Republican as they come.

Re: #2) Can't the Obamabots come up with anything more compelling than "you're racist if you don't support Obama!"? What part of HE'S NOT QUALIFIED TO BE PRESIDENT don't they understand? And what the fuck does THAT have to do with being racist?

One of the most ironic things I've encountered is seeing people who are black themselves being called racists because they're not supporting the Obamessiah. This happens to my online friends all the time; I guess because of the anonymity a computer screen provides, and the bots who are calling them racist can't SEE who they're talking to, it never occurs to them that they're black. Again, why is it so fucking hard for the bots to understand that being UNQUALIFIED for a position has nothing to do with racism?

Barack Hussein Obama is an anti-American (proven by, among other things, his twenty year attendance at a venomously anti-American church), a racist (also proven by his twenty year attendance at that venomously racist [against whites] church), a liar (can you say BAIPA votes?...among many other lies), a friend to terrorists and slumlords, and has zero experience to qualify him for the position of POTUS.

Now, I get that the Obamabots are laboring under some bizarre form of mass hypnosis and cannot understand, or process, logic and reason...but that's not my problem. My problem is that I'm sick of being accused of being two things I'm not, and never have been: A Republican and a racist. Please, come up with something original, would you?

If you're voting for a Republican, you're a Republican.

You cast the vote and every likely voter poll will list you as a Republican as will the two parties, as will your state.

No, you're NOT a Republican unless you're registered as one. And I am not.

No sense wasting any brain power, the only reason you could possibly be selling anti Obama gear is that you are a racist. It's okay, its just what you are. Supporting someone is not anti anything.

Sorry, you are a racist. And if you get your way, when the poor old guy with the lump on his face falls over we will have a very frightening president indeed. She is not qualified to be our president.

As long as I have already upset you, may I offer that you might not be qualified to write an intelligent blog post. Colin Powell definitely is a republican, and he is frightened of that possibility as well.

Many blessings,
Don't hurt yourself.

Oh, no, you haven't UPSET me--you've reinforced my KNOWLEDGE that Obamabots are clueless, mindless, lemmings!

Racist for not supporting an UNQUALIFIED, anti-American, racist? I don't think so!

I am still waiting for you to provide something to support your claim that Obama voted for Infanticide. As I told you on digg he has NEVER voted for infanticide. The infanticide story is just a lie made up to smear Obama. Obama never voted for infanticide. As far as I know there has never been an infanticide bill ever supported or even suggested by anyone.

From
http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/obama_and_infanticide.html

"At issue is Obama's opposition to Illinois legislation in 2001, 2002 and 2003 that would have defined any aborted fetus that showed signs of life as a "born alive infant" entitled to legal protection, even if doctors believe it could not survive.

Obama opposed the 2001 and 2002 "born alive" bills as backdoor attacks on a woman's legal right to abortion, but he says he would have been "fully in support" of a similar federal bill that President Bush had signed in 2002, because it contained protections for Roe v. Wade."

Obama voted against these bills for fear they could be used to challenge Roe vs. Wade, and several abortion rights groups also opposed the bills. Also, Illinois already had a law on the books that physicians must protect the life of a fetus when there is "a reasonable likelihood of sustained survival of the fetus outside the womb, with or without artificial support." The whole thing has just been exagerrated and spun to make Obama look like an evil baby killer by those who support his opponents.

I'll cut you some slack since you're an Obamabot...that Kool-Aid you guzzled has had some nasty effects, like frying brain cells!

YES, he did vote FOR infanticide. All you have to do is use a little extrapolation to figure that out.

He voted AGAINST the Born Alive Infants Protection Act--MULTIPLE times. Which meant that VIABLE, LATE-TERM babies born alive after abortions were LEFT TO DIE. Do you know another word for that? (Go ahead...I'll give you a minute...) INFANTICIDE.

As I've said before, learn how to do independent research. FactCheck.org is questionable at best. However, Soetoro's DOCUMENTED votes in the Illinois State Senate are not questionable, or in any way unclear.

Uh, that's exactly what I said in my post on digg - he only voted AGAINST those bills. Then you came back and argued that wasn't true claiming "Yes, d4nie1, Obama DID vote for infanticide--MULTIPLE times." and now you are changing your story. Yes, he voted AGAINST those particular bills because both he and abortion rights groups were afraid that the language in the bills could be used as ammo against Roe vs. Wade. And as has been stated a million times there was already a law in Illinois that physicians must protect the life of a fetus when there is "a reasonable likelihood of sustained survival of the fetus outside the womb, with or without artificial support."

Obama did not support infanticide. This was all a smear started by Obama opponents who took the fact that he voted AGAINST these bills that abortion rights groups thought could be used in attempts to overturn Roe vs. Wade, and they twisted and changed the story to say that Obama voted FOR a bill which required doctors to not provide assistance to healthy babies born from botched abortions, which is a ridiculous lie.

I give up. If you're unable to process the FACTS about Obama's votes against BAIPA, I can't help you. That bullshit about the wording--that's exactly what it is, bullshit. Its wording was EXACTLY the same as the national version of BAIPA, which even the most RADICAL pro-choicers supported.

I give up. If you're unable to process the FACTS about Obama's votes against BAIPA, I can't help you. As has been stated a million times there was already a law in Illinois that physicians must protect the life of a fetus when there is "a reasonable likelihood of sustained survival of the fetus outside the womb, with or without artificial support." Obama did NOT try to get a law passed forcibly banning doctors from giving aid to healthy living fetuses from late term abortions, and in fact no legislator has ever even proposed such legislation. If Obama is elected he is not going to try to pass such a law. It is all made up as a smear tactic.

But I will tell you what is not made up - all the constitutional amendments that Sarah Palin wants to make. Yes, Sarah is not satisfied with our constitution and wants a constitutional amendment to outlaw gay marriage and a constitutional amendment to outlaw abortion.

From http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081020/ap_on_el_pr/palin_gay_marriage

"'I have voted along with the vast majority of Alaskans who had the opportunity to vote to amend our Constitution defining marriage as between one man and one woman. I wish on a federal level that's where we would go. I don't support gay marriage,' Palin said. She said she believed traditional marriage is the foundation for strong families."

From http://www.hillaryclintonforum.net/discussion/showthread.php?t=37671

"Dobson — who has never been warm to McCain — asked Palin if her 'private conversations' with the GOP nominee had revealed a true commitment to the Republican party’s pro-life platform, which calls for a constitutional amendment banning abortions.

'I do, from the bottom of my heart,' Palin assured Dobson. 'John McCain is solidly there on those solid planks in our platform that build the right agenda for America.'"

As a registered Republican allow me to say that I get just a slight bit of encouragement coming across a Democrat who refused the kool aid.

BTW, it's sad that the race card had to come into play in this election but it doesn't take a genius to see who the real racists are. After all, why are we not allowed to judge a man on the content of his character in spite of the color of his skin?

Thanks for the nice comment, ruffedge. :)

By the way, this is NOT the first time I've ever crossed party lines--I've voted Republican, Independent, Green, and probably some others, along the way, too, but certainly Democrats have received the majority of my votes. I ALWAYS vote for the person I believe to be most qualified for the position they're seeking, whether it's president or a small local office.

You'll be glad to know that there are a LOT of other Dems out there who've also said no to the Obama Kool-Aid...and not because they're racist, but because HE is unqualified.
